Temple Shalom welcomes youth of all ages with diverse programming designed to foster social, spiritual, and educational growth and to help develop the future Jewish leaders of our congregation and the Jewish community. Our goal is to help create a fun and stimulating atmosphere that encourages our young people to develop strong positive bonds with each other, the Temple and Jewish tradition.
6th -12th graders are encouraged to attend periodic Blue Jean Shabbats. Our 8th-12th graders are invited to join our brand new Temple Shalom BBYO Chapters (BBG and AZA) and participate in local and regional programming for Jewish teens. To join our chapters, please contact Rabbi Boxman at email@example.com. Our 9th-12th graders participate in National Federation of Temple Youth programming.
Temple Shalom has a strong connection to Greene Family Camp, the URJ affiliate camp located in Bruceville, Texas, and sends one of the largest groups of campers to GFC each summer.
Temple programming for Youth includes periodic Blue Jean Shabbats, Munchkin Minyan (families with young children), family services, Religious School, B'nai Mitzvah program, Next Dor 2.0 Program, Beyond Next Dor, Confirmation, and Ozrim™. We also keep in touch with our college-aged students with College Connection care packages.
For information on youth programs for 3-12 graders, please contact Rabbi Ariel Boxman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
