Welcome to Temple Shalom where our mission is to inspire in our congregation an enduring relationship with God, Torah and the Jewish people through worship, study, gathering and community service. At Temple Shalom you will find a place where individual passion combines with the connection of community – where everyone can find a place to make a difference and live a full Jewish life. Take some time, wander through our website, and see what we have to offer!
Becoming a member of Temple Shalom gives you the ability to meet intergenerational families, join a singles group, participate in Shalom Silver (55+), build a Jewish life for your children, or develop the spiritual connection you have been searching for in your life. Davening & Dining on Shabbat evening, Synaplex Shabbat mornings, junior congregation and creative Tot Shabbats are a sampling of the worship experiences you will encounter with us. Learning Torah during your lunch hour, listening to our composer-in-residence, modeling religious school by studying along with your kids and traditional Torah study are a few of the ways we choose to learn at Temple Shalom.
A congregational family Chanukah dinner and service, Shalom TIME (Temple Initiative for Member Enhancement), celebrating Rosh Chodesh in Sisterhood members’ homes, and Sunday morning Brotherhood breakfasts are only a few examples of the gathering opportunities you will discover within Temple Shalom. Feeding your soul while feeding the homeless, collecting winter coats while your kids collect values, and bonding with your fellow congregants as you advocate together for social justice represent the wide variety of ways to serve the community as a part of Temple Shalom.
We welcome you to Temple Shalom and invite you to our home. Come and meet our congregants, clergy, professional staff and lay leaders. Let us show you what a rich Jewish life can be - welcome home to Temple Shalom!
