Also, Temple Shalom provides preschool-age appropriate worship services once a month. Tot Shabbat is the 2nd Friday of each month. Services are at 6:00 pm, followed by bring-your-own-dinner (some months have a catered option), oneg, and a craft or activity program for the kids. Please click on the Tot Shabbat link under Membership Services/Worship for more information. Tot Shabbat will begin again in July. Beginning August 29, our Saturday morning Torah Alive tot Shabbat program will return. This program allows families with young children to enjoy Shabbat songs, blessings and stories with an oneg Shabbat following.

Housed in a synagogue, Temple Shalom Preschool enjoys the advantage of having clergy play an integral part of our Shabbat and holiday celebrations. Feeling at home in the synagogue not only gives children a sense of community, but eases the transition to religious school later. Parental involvement is encouraged, and many children and their families develop lifelong friendships through the preschool.
Our Teachers
Our teachers hold degrees in early childhood education but more importantly, they love interacting with young children. Our teachers enjoy helping students explore, learn and find ways to reach their full potential. During its inspection, the NAEYC accreditation team made special note of the superb quality of our teacher-child relationships.
