Dallas Habitat for Humanity needs Temple Volunteers for the “Breast Cancer Builds” House! Come Out to Help Raise Awareness and Funds to Provide Mammograms for low-income women!
Join Dr. Sheron Patterson, breast cancer survivors and their families and friends to build a Habitat for Humanity home with a special purpose. This special home, located in the area of Bonnieview and Loop 12, will raise awareness and money to provide mammograms for low-income women in North Texas and for the Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity. “Breast Cancer Builds” is the vision of Dr. Sheron Patterson, Senior Pastor, Highland. Hills United Methodist Church
This Habitat home will be built over eight Saturdays between March 1, 2008 and May 10, 2008. Temple Shalom will be participating in the build on March 1, 8, 15, 29, April 12, and April 26. Only 25 volunteers are needed each day. Breast cancer survivors, their families and friends who want to help build the house and/or raise funds for the project should contact Jerri Grunewald at redjug@swbell.net or 972-735-9309. The build schedule for the remaining days is as follows:
March 29 – siding, exterior and porch work April 5 – shingles and siding April 12 – finish roof and paint preparations April 19 – paint, begin landscaping April 26 – landscape yard

Youth volunteers must abide by the following age restrictions on the construction site:
