Rabbi Andrew M. Paley
Rabbi Andrew Marc Paley is the Senior Rabbi and Spiritual Leader of Temple Shalom. Ordained by the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in 1995, Rabbi Paley also holds a master’s degree in Hebrew Letters from H.U.C. – J.I.R and bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Ohio State University as well as a certificate in marital and pre-marital counseling.
Rabbi Paley’s commitment to our Jewish community is evidenced by his involvement in local and national Jewish organizations. Rabbi Paley is a member of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, the Southwest Association of Reform Rabbis, the Rabbinical Association of Greater Dallas, and is a board member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, the Dallas chapter of the Anti-Defamation League, the University of North Texas Judaic Advisory Board and a member of the Reform Movement’s national Commission on Worship, Music and Religious Living.
His community involvement includes his commitment to the ideals of pluralism reflected in his role on the Religious Practices Committee of Richardson Independent School District and his role on the executive committee of the Attending Clergy Association of Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
Rabbi Paley has edited two prayer books, one for the Sabbath and one for families for the High Holy Days as well as authored numerous articles.
Rabbi Paley is married to Deborah Niederman, a nationally recognized Jewish educator, and is the father of two children, Molly and Samuel.

Associate Rabbi Jeremy A. Schneider

A native Texan, Rabbi Jeremy Schneider attended the University of Texas in Austin earning a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development, and attended rabbinical school at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR), first in Cincinnati, and then finishing his studies at the Los Angeles campus where he received a Master of Arts in Hebrew Letters in 2003. While in Los Angeles, Rabbi Schneider studied for an additional degree, earning a Masters Degree in Jewish Education from the Rhea Hirsch School of Jewish Education at HUC-JIR in 2004 and received his rabbinic ordination in 2006.
Rabbi Schneider brings an array of experiences to the rabbinate, including more than 15 years at Greene Family Camp, leading trips to Israel, receiving certificates in Synagogue Management and pre-marital & marital counseling as well as interning at several large congregations around the country. Rabbi Schneider was also a 2008-2009 STAR (Synagogues: Transformation and Renewal) “PEER” Fellow in their Executive Leadership Program.
In June of 2008, Rabbi Schneider was one of six Americans on an interfaith study tour sponsored by the U.S. State Department where he traveled to Egypt and Syria with the National Peace Foundation (NPF). In January 2009, Rabbi Schneider was awarded the “Citizen Diplomat – Peace Quilt Award” from the NPF in Washington, D.C. for his work, as a citizen diplomat, at the grassroots level, to exemplify collective, creative, and durable peace building. Rabbi Schneider continues to be thoroughly involved in all interfaith work.
Rabbi Schneider is married to Rachel, a teacher with a Master of Arts in Jewish Communal Service from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion and a Master of Arts in Public Administration from University of Southern California. They are proud parents of Ezra, who attends Temple Shalom’s Preschool.

Cantor Don Alan Croll
Cantor Croll, a native of Buffalo, New York, is an invested cantor having graduated with honors in liturgical interpretation from Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion's School of Sacred Music in 1978. He spent ten years as cantor and music director of Temple Beth Torah in Upper Nyack, New York. He also served as cantor in Los Angeles, California and Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has concertized in Israel and appeared as guest soloist with Kol Echad, the premier Jewish chorale in Los Angeles and the Albuquerque Symphony, as well as the Kennedy Center's July 4th celebration "Let Freedom Sing". Cantor Croll is a member of the Cantor's Assembly and is currently serving on the Board of Trustees of the American Conference of Cantors. As Music Director of Temple Shalom, he sets music curriculum and teaches in religious school. He trains bar and bat mitzvah candidates and directs the adult and junior choirs.
Recently HUC-JIR bestowed an honorary Doctorate of Music degree on Cantor Croll for his twenty five years in the cantorate. In 2008, Cantor Croll was Temple Shalom Brotherhood's Man of the Year in celebration of his 13 years at Temple Shalom.

Rabbi Emeritus Kenneth D. Roseman
Rabbi Roseman came to Temple Shalom in 1985 after serving as the Rabbi of Temple Beth El in Madison, Wisconsin. Ordained in 1966, Rabbi Roseman also earned a Ph.D. in Jewish History. He served as Dean of Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion and taught Jewish history at Southern Methodist University. Rabbi Roseman has served as Co-Chairman of the national Joint Commission on Jewish Education and Chairman of the Committee on Family and Children's Liturgy. His series of Jewish history books for adolescents has garnered two prestigious awards. Community activist, he has represented Temple Shalom as an officer of the Attending Clergy Association of Presbyterian Hospital and Chairman of the Rabbinical Association of Greater Dallas.
